Greeting Card - Hi!

For this cute greeting card, you'll need the following supplies:
Card Base: 5"x4"
Red polka dot paper: 5"x4"
Pattern paper: 3.5"x2.5"
Yellow scallop trim: 4.5" long, .75" tall
silver and pink staples
Yellow ribbon scraps
Chipboard or Grungeboard letters H and I - approx 2" tall

I started by painting the grungeboard pink to match the colored paper. I used some old fabric paint I had in a shiny pink color. It spread out thin enough so that the grungeboard texture was still visible.

Next up - ink all the edges. I used Tim Holtz - Antique Linen color (I'm addicted to his inks) for just a hint of distressing.

Staple through the scallop, then adhere it to the card. Staple the yellow ribbons behind the pattern paper, then adhere the patterned paper to the background. By stapling before adhering, you avoid seeing staples when you open the card.
Adhere the HI letters using glue or a stronger adhesive.

The textured grungeboard is great - we can get the same effect by running CTMH chipboard through the Cuttlebug. This card is so cute but easy to duplicate...that's what we like!
